United Way of Central Georgia and their partners kickoff the summer read program by providing a minimum of 100 reading starter bags to Boys & Girls Club Members Baldwin and Jones Sites. Among those present for the event is various corporate representatives from Robin's Federal Credit Union, Georgia Power, Georgia Military College Prep Football Players, just to name a few. The GMC Prep Team spoke to the youth about the importance of reading and how it is apart of life and is a necessity. We were grateful for the reading starter kits as it enhances the Clubs belief that the ability to read is essential if an individual is to thrive academically. The youth were grateful for the goody bags and took advantage of the donations made. Thanks United Way and all those that supported the event.

Gardening ProgramLockerly Arboretum and the Milledgeville Gardening Club promotes environmental awareness through Outdoor Environmental Educational Activities for our youth. The youth have enjoyed all of the activities that promotes interest in the great outdoors.

STEAM: TEam ArchitectThe youth engage in STEAM Activities on a monthly basis. STEAM activities are high level of advanced learning when it comes to Science, Technology, Engineer, Arts and Math

Youth engage in a host of daily physical activities at least 1 hour per day. Daily physical activities are incorporatedto ensure that all you are engaged in the needed daily physical activities that promotes better health, aid in the reduction of childhood obesity and promote healthy choices among the youth in which we serve.
